The color of the sun in the app shows the strength of the ultraviolet radiation. This may change for example when you’re on the water; UV rays are reflected by water so the radiation becomes even stronger.
The suggested time depends on your personal preferences, such as your skin type, your current surroundings and if you use sunscreen or not. If you do not set up your personal preferences it will base the time on the average Dutchman.
The specified time is the maximum time you can spend in the sun on midday. As the day progresses, the UV rays become weaker, so you can enjoy the sun a bit longer.
Sunning uses the UV index for your current location. The estimated time is based on data of the World Health Organization (WHO).
